Mental Equations are thoughts, poems and prose I've written over the years. On Christmas day, 1975, one month after my older brother, Steve, killed himself, I started writing my thoughts down on a tablet of paper I'd gotten as a part of my stocking. It's been a good journey, but as you'll see...many are laments. In a world where sorrow comes as a part of our breakfast but we're never expected to speak a depressing thought, the written word becomes a much-needed release.
