Mobile Candor

Mobile candor in a remote enemy.
Speaking but not speaking.
Acting but not acting.
Moving as if to mimic a worker,
And yet never really feeling the sand or the steel.
What do you make but metaphors dying?
What do you sow but words with no edge?
You mumble and mock and malign my intentions
With emotional phrases pretending to be true.
But a lie told twenty fold is still just a lie,
And an error reported through wires is
Still just an error.
And all the emotions and all the intentions
Spilled forth from your platform are
Not a replacement for a mind fully engaged.
